"Paki" Tape
Otherwise colloquially referred to as 'Paki-Tape' by AK builders in the United States, this non-adhesive tape was originally and is still used to wrap bicycles in Afghanistan in order to protect the finish of the metal from degrading over time. Afghan Security Force soldiers, local fighters, and Taliban militants have since taken to the tape in order to similarly preserve the external finish of their rifles, often incorporating photographs or other media for decoration and design.These are rolls of 21 feet by half an inch in width.Although in our "Made in Afghanistan" category, the tape originally comes from China, but has been sourced locally in Kabul.Note: This 'Tape' is non-adhesive.
