    Description

    A 10” tall hand-carved and tinted carving of an angel or “putti” holding a tithing bowl. Hand-carved acacia wood, deeply three-dimensional, ready to hang.
    In Italy, angels and cherubs –
    putti
    or
    putto
    – adorn surfaces everywhere; not just beautiful, they’re considered a sign of protection and peaceful intention.
    This vintage hand-carved angel is featured holding a tithing bowl.  It was hand-crafted from acacia wood and is a light ivory color with a blue paint-washed cloud.  Beautifully detailed and deeply three-dimensional, the face is sweet with fine carving to the wavy hair, wings and robe.
    Measures 10” in height, 9” in width.
    Etched with the artist’s initial, this is a true collector’s piece.  Ready to hang.
