    Description

    Being offered today is a rare carved bovine figure of the Christ in repose. Probably from the late 18th c Goa. The arms were carved separately from the body. It has most of its original polychromy, with the usual wear and fading as expected with age. Well detailed for it’s size. The left hand appears to be a later replacement. Some stain on the right foot thet has been there seen I got it. The figure is approx 5“ long by 1.5“ wide.
