    Description

    This is an example of the very first US military issue Camelback Hydration System, from the 2004 contract year. Just as Operation Iraqi Freedom was getting fully-underway, the military decided that soldiers needed a readily available hydration system that would allow quicker access to fluids than the conventional canteen. This one is the first type available, and was primarily issued to SOF personnel deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan. It is solid tan nylon with black upper portion, and nylon shoulder straps. Label indicates US DOD contract 2004. Still has the original bladder inside.
