EMILIANO ZAPATA AUTOGRAPH SIGNED DOCUMENT ADS MEXICAN REVOLUTION AUTHENTICATED

Description

Independent authentication by the noted company, PSA/DNA.  Important and historic circular by Mexican Revolutionary leader, Emiliano Zapata on Banditry.  This circular is Published and referenced in a number of scholarly articles.  8 1/2” x 12”.  Dated February 14, 1917, at Tlaltizapan, Morelos, Mexico.  Typed onto lined paper (you can see the impressions in the paper made by the periods and commas especially) and boldly signed in ink by Zapata.  Stamped with the seal of the Ejercito Libertador.  Dated in pencil at the top by an unknown hand. This was one of a series of political messages made by Circular to people in the “zona revolutionaria”.   This one has been referenced in various histories and is known as “Circular Del General Emiliano Zapata Sobre Traficantes de Ganado Vacuno.”  You can read the original in the scans.  It addresses the issue of banditry and proclaims, “robbery is a repugnant crime punished by all civilized peoples, which it is urgent to prevent and energetically repress for the conservation of the society in which we live.”  Important political statement by one of Mexico’s greatest historical figures.
