Here is an original vintage 1930s 1940s 1950s era bicycle basket which came along with a 1930s vintage Hiawatha bicycle with 26" wheels. This mounts on your handlebars above your front wheel and is correct for bicycles like Schwinn Phantom, Panther, Breeze, Hollywood, Typhoon, American, Panther, DX, BB, lack Phantom, Fair Lady, Monark, JC Higgins, etc. Actually it should fit most any vintage bike! It is a real classic and they do not sell them like this anymore.
This is a nice large roomy basket. The basket is approx 15 1/2" wide by 10" by 4 1/2" tall. The legs are approx 18" long and has 3 different mounting points to accommodate different size bicycles. This mounts to your handlebars and to the front axle. It mounts in no time with very basic tools. This will be an excellent addition to your vintage bike! I think that will make it look really cool on your bike! It is well built and sturdy. It has some bends here or there but these bend to shape fairly easily. (see pics Will look right at home on a vintage bike!
This has one strap that looks like it has been on there forever. I thought it looked cool so I left it in place. Mount it with the one, add hardware or simply add zip ties. I have never seen a basket with this exact shape and style!
It will look great on any vintage (or newer) bicycle! Keep your hands safely on the bars and carry your books, groceries, gallon of milk, parts, puppy, etc! A great item for your bike! Sold as is simply because it is used. It shows age will be a perfect patina and shape for that vintage ride. (see pics for exact condition and email with any questions before you bid)  It may have a bend here or there but these easily bend to shape if needed. (see pics) NOTE, I may have to lightly bend a leg tip to get this to fit into a normal size box. (they bend back easily and you will never know once installed) If this is an issue, please do not bid)  New stuff on a vintage bike looks out of place. I think this one is in relatively ok condition for its age! (see pics for exact condition) Ride safely with this vs trying to carry things in your hands while riding. Take your puppy or kitty for a ride!
